The spectral climate monitoring system independently developed by Beijing StarView Technology Co., Ltd. is based on accurate multi-spectral imaging technology and built-in multiple climate and vegetation index algorithms to realize online automated monitoring of plant climate. It provides professional solutions for the monitoring of plant growth in agriculture, forestry and grassland, ecological environment research, remote sensing ground verification and other fields of scientific research.

system hardware The spectral bands of PhotoNet multi-spectral weather camera can meet the user's various customized needs, NDVI version is a five-band model, and for other bands, please refer to the XST-PhotoNet series of weather cameras. Application Case I In the spring of 2023 at the Changbaishan Forest Ecosystem Positioning Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the weather image data obtained by the StarView Spectral Climate Camera and the corresponding NDVI vegetation index are analyzed as follows: From the curved image, it can be seen that the changes in NDVI values are a true reflection of the vegetation growth conditions in the corresponding image. By analyzing the curvature of the curves, we can obtain the group climatic periods of the forest: the greening period, the transition period of green canopy maturity, and the seasonal blooming period. 

Application Case Two Climatic image data of local crop alfalfa obtained by Star View Spectral Climate Camera and NDVI vegetation index analysis of Qingyang National Field Monitoring Station, College of Grassland Agricultural Science and Technology, Lanzhou University are shown below:

The left figure shows the picture of on-site instrument installation at Qingyang Station in late February 2023; the right figure shows the result of instrument data analysis, and the data were screened, rejected, interpolated, and fitted by the climatic image processing system software of StarView to obtain the curve of NDVI growing season change.

In March and April 2023, the data were missing due to insufficient power supply from the system, so the data were interpolated by the software; in the later period, the data were complete, and the vegetation cover and harvesting situation could be clearly seen in the NDVI curves. snowfall in December 2023 and January 2024 caused a sudden drop in the NDVI values: snow has the spectral characteristic of reflecting red light and absorbing infrared light, which led to the negative value of the NDVI.
